Snipe increases the base value of an attack during critical hit. Dorapion can also learn Cross Poison (クロスポイズン), which has a high critical hit rate and can also induce Poisoning.

Also, some more information about the earlier revealed 4th Generation Pokemon:
  • タマンタ (Tamanta): is a Water/Flying Type Pokemon. It's Abilities are Swift Swim and Water Absorb.
  • ペラップ (Perap): is a Normal/Flying Type Pokemon. It's abilities are Keen Eye & a new Ability called Tottering Steps (ちどりあし), increases evasiveness when confused.

Other interesting news revealed were:
  • Pokemon Pearl and Diamond will use Nintendo's online gaming service, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. As with other games, you must get the Friend Code of your opponents before being able to connect. It appears that up to eight codes can be stored in the game. You can battle, trade Pokémon and use the microphone to talk over Wi-Fi in Diamond and Pearl. This functionality can be accessed via the Pokémon Wi-Fi Club, which is located in the previously revealed Pokémon Center basement. The DS Headset was also announced and comes out on September 24th for 1200 yen.
  • The villainous organisation in Shinou is named Team Galaxy (ギンガ団). Among other things, they try to entice Pokémon to do their bidding, invite the professor to do research for them and steal people's Pokémon.
  • The bottom touch screen on the DS has been confirmed for Menu use during battles.
  • In Battle, the bag is organised as followed: HP/PP Recovery, Pokéballs, Status Recovery, Battle Use

In the Anime section, the next series of Pokemon following Advanced Generation was revealed.

The series is known as Pokemon Diamond & Pearl Image and will begin this Autumn in Japan, probably from the episode dated 28th September onwards. It is also known that the female trainer shown in the D/P anime poster, named Hikari, will be featured in this new series, but we yet don't have the info about the rest of the gang (Ash, May, Max, Brock...)

A Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl series poster has been found, the one relating to the anime series, not to be confused with the game. While this is a new twist in the news since this seems like the series will be parallel to the current Advanced Generation and NOT a replacement for the latter. More info if revealed or found will be posted here, so stay in touch.

It has been pretty much confirmed that Diamond & Pearl will be a separate series and not a continuation of Advanced Generation. As u see in the poster, the lines printed on the bottom are the timings of Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation (Thursdays 7pm) and Pokemon Sunday (Sundays 8am). It only means that these series will not be affected with the new one. So u may be well assured that AG is still continuing and Satoshi's (Ash) adventure won't end without a final tournament lasting for a few episodes.

HI! OMG! OMG!
Guess what! I found this in a pokemon forums. It is the answer to cracking HIKARI'S CODE!! LOLZ
Here it is:

It says, "Don't turn a blind eye to Satoshi and Haruka's adventures!" ("Satoshi to Haruka no bouken wo minaosuna!") Sounds like a new series to me.
The red text says, "Kami to iu tsutaerareru Pokemon wo meguri, Hikari no bouken ga hajimaru!" I can understand its individual parts, but what it means exactly, I don't know.

Kami to iu = "called god[s]"

Tsutaerareru = passive ("was ____ing") or potential ("can ____") form of the verb that means "to convey/to report/to transmit/to communicate/to tell/to impart/to propagate/to teach/to bequeath". Being in front of a noun indicates that that noun is doing this action.

Wo = indicates that "Pokemon" is the object, not the subject

Meguri = Animelab.com and WWWJCID say that it means to go around or to return, to surround, or to dispute, but a Babelfish (/°o°/) translation says it means "centering on". That makes the most sense, so I'll go with that.

Hikari no bouken ga hajimaru! = "Hikari's adventure begins!"

WEE! So now, everybody's happy. We get the usual Pokemon show that we love so much and a fitting replacement for that peice of crap (in the dub)......POKEMON CHRNONICLES
