The Karma system lets users "thank" someone for a certain topic or activity, by giving positive reputation points or Karma. It's the other way round for negative Karma, incase you wish to report a bad activity or someone's misconduct on the forums. Please note that all karmas are supposed to be given alongwith genuine reasons. Click the [+] or [-] karma buttons for a user in a topic to award Karma points for that particular topic. For a general reason, choose to go to the user's profile instead.

Now it's obvious but I'll still state that you can't award Karma to yourself.. so don't ask about the same.

This feature is actually better for me to warn against the on-going Off-topic activity, which is many a times done on purpose Just like this topic that encouraged me to quickly install the Karma system and give a -1 to him So beware! The next time you post a reply, think twice. Minor off-topic'ness is fine, which is why we have the [ OFFTOPIC ] bbcode for. But please choose either to post general matters either in the Shoutbox or The Lounge, or other general forums meant for the same. Queries are supposed to be shoved to the Drop Box.

Off-topic posts or as I prefer to call them "Chats" ruin the joy and interest in looking back at forums archives. Why would someone choose to keep hitting Next on a thread just to see people Lol'ing and talking completely off the topic. Forums are meant for "posts", snippets of text that are informative. Check out posts by some of our older members like Shiny Suicune, Cierra, Petey, Pranz, Blaziken75, pokéfanz, tyranitar3000, Queen Rayquaza, Apoorv Upreti, Dark Lord, mantislovervaibhav2, Ewan, etc. Try to have longer quality posts. Stop the race to large postcounts and ranks. It's not the numbers that matter.

Banning in DPf is bannedth, well, unless you're a spambot anyway.

Then I don't need to care for my Karma status being -100.

-100 is the auto-ban threshold, but a ban is something that I don't acknowledge for silly reasons, except extreme misconduct or something that needs drastic measures. Personally as well I'm a non-violent person, so this kind of 'soft' violence isn't encouraged by me as well.

So in the beginning NiSh did the great job of putting me the last in the list with -3.

Petey did some good and NiSh too. So...-1
